Summer Academy
Summer Academy will take place at Unity from Monday, June 30th to Thursday, July 24th. Your child must attend Monday through Thursday. There is no Summer Academy on Fridays. We will be in the building from 8:30am until 12:30pm, with students only attending during their assigned time slot.
Because there are only 16 days of Summer Academy, your child’s attendance is critically important every day. If your child is absent more than 2 days or late more than 4 days, he/she will not receive credit for summer school. This also applies if your child misses a significant amount of instructional time due to behavior.
Part of Summer Academy will focus on building organizational skills and student habits. Please make sure that your child arrives to school with one composition notebook, at least 5 working writing utensils, and completed homework every day of summer school. We believe that practicing these skills over the summer will set students up for success in the fall.
If you have any questions about summer school, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Beauregard at jbeauregard@unityprep.org or (718) 455-5046.
