Letter to Families regarding Wednesdays from the Head of School
2013-2014 Student & Family Handbook
The Unity 2013-2014 Student and Family Handbook is now available online.
School Supplies Letter
Students will need the following supplies for the school year beginning August, 28th.
Required:
• 4 marble composition notebooks
• 1 one-subject 3-ring spiral wide-ruled notebook
• 100 sheets of wide-ruled, loose-leaf paper
• 2 pencils
• 1 pencil eraser
• 2 pens (blue or black in)
• 1 editing pen (a bright color like red or green)
• 1 ruler
• Glue sticks OR mini stapler with staples OR 1 roll of tape (any 1 of those 3)
• 1 folder with clasps
• 1 2-pocket folder
• 1 1.5-inch three-ring binder with binder dividers
Optional: (NOT required)
• Package of colored pencils, markers, or crayons
• Pencil case or pouch (for holding supplies)
• Tissues, hand sanitizer
• Old magazines/newspapers (for your child’s first Design & Technology Project)
• Plastic containers with or without lids (ex: recycled yogurt containers and/or pint containers)
• Purell instant hand sanitizer (travel size)

Open House Session Scheduled for Saturday, March 30 at 11:30am

Parents, guardians, and community members interested in learning more about Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn are invited to attend an Open House Informational Session to be held in Unity’s auditorium at 432 Monroe Street. The event will take place on Saturday, March 30 from 11:30am – 1:00pm. During the session, Unity’s founders will describe the school’s academic and co-curricular programs and explain why Unity is an excellent new middle school option for New York City families. Students and their parents/guardians will have the opportunity to meet the Head of School and other school leaders and will be able to have their questions answered.
