Dress Code & Uniforms

Unity’s student dress code is designed to ensure that students are able to focus on learning and feel professional, safe, respected, and proud. Students must be in dress code in order to attend class. This section provides guidelines for what students must wear to school each day, unless otherwise permitted by special circumstance.

Tops	Bottoms	Physical Education & Dance
An official Unity top is any of the following: Navy short-sleeve polo Navy long-sleeve polo Navy fleece crew sweatshirt Long-sleeve oxford shirt Short-sleeve oxford shirt *Tops must be purchased through our vendor, Ideal Uniform.	Students can wear any of the following: Navy, khaki (tan), black, or gray skirts Navy, khaki (tan), black, or gray pants (no jeans) Navy, khaki (tan), black, or gray shorts (no jean shorts) *Bottoms can be purchased from any vendor you choose.	All students also need the following for Unity's physical education or dance classes: TOP: Short sleeve Unity ash t-shirt ВОТТОМ: Navy mesh fitness shorts, OR navy fleece sweatpants
Footwear
• All student footwear is permitted as long as it is closed toe, closed back (not open toe or open back (e.g., Croes), etc.), and does not have a high heel. • For physical education or dance days, students should wear active footwear .

Tops	Bottoms	Footwear
An official Unity High top must be worn at all times: Navy Unity t-shirt, polo, or crewneck sweatshirt Unity-issued or Unity-patch top Tops must fully cover the torso and shoulders No non-Unity hoodies or jackets may be worn over the top during the school day	Students may wear bottoms that meet the following criteria: Must reach at least the top of the knee Fit properly at the waist (belt required if sagging) No rips, tears, or visible undergarments Leggings, tights, bodysuits, and basketball shorts are not permitted	All footwear must: Be closed-toe, closed-back, and low-heeled Crocs are allowed only if the strap is worn behind the ankle No slides, sandals, or flip-flops (with or without socks) Footwear guidelines apply on all dress-down or spirit days
Other
Facial Coverings Only medical-use face masks are allowed. All other facial coverings (e.g, shiesties) will be confiscated and returned to a parent/guardian. Special Events & Activities Dress expectations may differ for school events like Spirit Week, dances, field days, and performances. Families will be notified in advance of any changes to the dress code for these events.
