June-12-2026

The Unity Scoop – June 12

Dear Families of Unity,

I want to begin by extending a heartfelt congratulations to our middle school students for successfully completing their Roundtable Presentations. It was a pleasure to welcome families, friends, alumni, and community members to celebrate and support our students as they showcased their learning and growth.

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, several important milestones lie ahead. On Monday, we will celebrate our middle school students at our annual awards ceremonies, followed by the graduation of our 8th grade class on Tuesday. At the high school, students will complete their final day of regular classes on Tuesday before continuing with Regents examinations (see the calendar below for the exam schedule).

In this edition of The Unity Scoop, you’ll find highlights from Roundtablesphotos from our athletics banquets, and recognition of our Students of the Month for May.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to finish the school year strong.

In unity,
Josh

5. Recap – Preparing for Roundtables at Unity Prep Middle School

Our 6th and 7th grade scholars are hard at work preparing for Roundtables, refining both their ideas and presentation skills. Later this month, they will be sharing their learning with families and peers. Students are engaging with real-world issues that require research, critical thinking, and persuasive communication, including:

●petitioning for environmental policy changes

●analyzing data on ways to reduce our carbon footprint

Along the way, scholars are practicing public speaking, collaborating with classmates, and strengthening their ability to present evidence-based arguments with confidence. We can’t wait to see them showcase their hard work and impress friends and family during Roundtables!

6. Recap – Perfect Attendance from May!

The following lengthy list of students demonstrated a strong and consistent dedication to their education by showing stellar attendance this past month.  Kudos to these students – we love seeing you each and every day!  And, of course, we look forward to celebrating additional students at the end of this month!
