The Unity Scoop – May 31

Dear Families of Unity,

Happy Sunday! While it was a short week, it was also a productive and memorable one across our community.

Congratulations to our 8th graders and seniors, who celebrated their proms on Thursday, and to our middle school students and staff, who successfully closed out Quarter 4 and continue preparing for Roundtable Presentations, now just over a week away.

We also want to recognize our seniors, who completed their final day of classes this week, as well as our high school students, who continue to work hard as they finish the year strong and prepare for June Regents exams.

As we welcome the month of June, we return to a full week of school. Be sure to review the June Family Calendar below to see the many exciting events and celebrations ahead as we close out the school year.

In this edition of The Unity Scoop, you’ll find:

  • The college acceptance list for the Class of 2026
  • Highlights from our seniors’ final day of classes
  • Photos from our senior and 8th grade proms
  • Our June Family Calendar

I wish everyone a wonderful Sunday and look forward to a strong first week of June.

In unity,
Josh

9. Recap – Celebrating NYC Through Dance & Roundtables!

Families are invited to join us for our middle school End-of-Year Roundtables and student-curated dance showcase. This year’s showcase theme, Roots of the City, celebrates the music, movement, stories, and cultural icons that have shaped our city. Through thoughtful presentations and dynamic performances, students will showcase their learning, creativity, and hard work.

The event will be on Wednesday June 3rd, in the middle school auditorium. If you are unable to attend, a digital recording will be shared, and families may also have the opportunity to view the performance during their scholar’s Roundtable presentation. Please RSVP by June 2, 2026.

10. Recap – Recent Highlights from Our Spring Athletics Teams – Go Panthers!

It was another busy week for all of the Unity Panther teams! Our high school boys volleyball team and track teams were in action, showcasing hard work, teamwork, and determination. Back on campus, Ms. McRae joined middle school students in our schoolwide wall-sit competition, while members of the Middle School Baseball Club sharpened their batting techniques and swings, developing their skills on the field.
