The Unity Scoop – May 9

Dear Families of Unity,

Let me begin this edition of The Scoop with deep appreciation for the mothers in our community—thank you for all that you do, and wishing you a very happy Mother’s Day.

Our 8th graders completed their U.S. History Regents mock exams—congratulations on this important milestone. At the same time, our high school students took on a range of AP exams (Biology, Government, World History, Statistics, and U.S. History)—kudos for their focus and effort.

We also celebrated in meaningful ways across the community, including our middle school art exhibition and Quarter 3 high school academic recognitions. During Teacher Appreciation Week, our team truly felt the support and gratitude from families—thank you for showing up so thoughtfully for our staff.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue cheering on our students. This week includes remaining AP exams, the 8th grade science state exam, and College Signing Day on Friday as our seniors share their college and career plans.

Below, you’ll find highlights from the week, including classroom moments, celebrations, and recognitions—along with a spotlight on students with outstanding attendance in April and our Student-Athletes of the Month.

Wishing you a great week ahead, and a joyful Mother’s Day to all of the mothers in our community.

In unity,
Josh
